Moving On...

This will be the final post here in this blog.

After a long hiatus, I am moving on to http://thebuttercupprawnies.blogspot.com for those who are still interested in being updated about us.

Happy New Year 2012

2012 has arrived in the blinking/winking/twitching of an eye/mouth/ear or whatever... get the drift... It's been a long long time since I wrote anything here. Almost 2+ years... even Buttercup has stopped writing for the longest time, until she is a full time homestayer she says... I will do that if I am full time homestayer too wahahahaha...

First meal of 2012 is.................

That was just because I was hungry and I needed a nice supper while watching late night TV! I don't normally eat that much for supper! No! Definitely not! Except for special occasions (which happens very often)? (Ooh... I can choose the size of the photo on the blog! Now... just to make it a bigger packet by clicking large size :op)

This is the second consecutive long weekend and they always seem to pass by in a breeze! And more so when one is enjoying! Hehehe... The Buttercup Prawnies certainly are a rotty bunch with the usual activities. Surprisingly we are fishing a little lesser than before though. Just a bit more to the iPad2!!! Wahahaha...

Anyway, the new year has begun and it is time to be a little different somehow. With the stay here more or less permanent, probably time to start shifting things around the house and making tons of additions. Dolce Gusto was a good start, though I think I need quite a couple of them to practice!!! Always nice to use prizes... PS3, coffee maker, sound system (still need to figure out how to fix this up), travel iron(???!!! who brings an iron for travelling now?), alarm clock, portable radio, hmmmm... I seem to have won quite a bit of stuff!!!

OK, half day of the long weekend remaining. Writing all these while listening to X Factor Holland auditions. Again I add, any of these beat the American Idol, X Factor USA, etc etc anytime! I hate it when judges support contestants to the next round based on sympathy and emotions. Fair enough, give them the recognition and appreciation for the effort. But the purpose of these shows is to look for talent, not just push someone through who survived the war, a tragedy, or something like that. We have tons of popstars giving tribute concerts already. If that is still not sufficient, then please just sponsor a live U2 concert. The audience will be pleased and more appreciative.

Phote charged to 100%! Time to go fishing!!!!

Signing off from The Dragon Prawn :o)
Don't ever believe people when they say 龙虾 is called Lobster...

Shanghai Tan to Singapore Tan

1st November has been decided as the day. I will be Shanghai Tan no more. Heh, all the while being the equivalent of the popular Bund. I will become Singapore Tan. The place to get the well-toned TANned skin. If you decide to stay out in the sun.

Now that I am not blocked by the Great fireWall, I suppose there is a chance that I might come back to posting more often here. Though I am a little tempted to revamp my previous posts and look at what the hell I have been writing all this time. Thinking of removing all the tags.

Anyway, staying at my in-laws and we (Debbie and me) share a M1 broadband connection that we take turns to use. That means I logon to do the required moves for Wrestler (I am very dedicated one!!!) and also lead my crew to go fishing hehehehe... of course need to check mails and all. Other than that, I am going to spend so much more time on games. Hahaha... maybe now I will get to play all the different games that I always neglect due to going online :o)

Well, so much for now. If anyone is going to the airport now and then when you are free, give me a buzz and we could catch up over a drink or something.

Paris/London

We've decided to go Paris/London for our long holiday this year! Will be travelling with the Angs too. I think it is gonna be fun, especially since going on a joint trip was not something we had planned for. There's gonna be a big chance that photos will prove Debbie did not go on a trip alone. (I was the cameraman for all other times, so she's always alone in pictures hahahaha...)

Time to go back to second home and it's about time! I think the place has changed a lot since the last time I was back. Wonder if I can remember how to go about some of the places anymore. Maybe it is a good chance to show Debbie where I studied and the stuff I eat. Sometimes we really think it was a pity we met so late. Maybe we could have done even much more things before hahahaha... but well, never late then never to meet the right soul mate!

Now looking at the places to go and where to stay. Hmmm...can never see enough of everything, so looks like we have to decide on what is the must see. Can always go back again. I don't mind going there often, since that is the place that I stayed most time in besides Singapore (and Shanghai now). Belgos, I'm coming...

Wonder if the Beijing Brothers still perform in Covent Garden.

Minority Report

Coins or Phonecard

Some people may not have loose change with them. So making phonecalls on coin phone may be a problem. Solution is to install phones that accepts phonecards ONLY. All time best solution since everyone will DEFINITELY remember to have phonecards, rather than coins. Why don't they just install phones that accept both coins and phonecards? I've seen them around, so it's not like such phones are not in production. But the point is, if some people may not have loose change, then expectation is most people might not have loose change. BUT, everyone sure got phonecard lah...?

Conclusion: I'm just a minority report

Sacrifice?

It's Badminton Day again! 2nd last day to play since the school is going to change management. Many stories floating around and I am now not sure which is the correct version. Either there is a change of principal and he does not want the school to be open for public use. Or the school premises has been taken over by another organisation and no longer functioning as a school. If the latter is the case, then we'll have to approach the new organisation to know if we can continue a new package with them. One more time to play on Monday then. What other activities after???

After much deliberation and a million KFC advertisements showing on TV, we decided to go for our usual hobby and KFC takeaway for dinner hahahaha. These days spending a lot of time watching Justice Bao on TV, 3 episode per night. So we see a lot of the KFC commercial. Anyway, some of the new stuff are pretty nice this time, though I cannot understand why they only see original recipe chickens, or perhaps chicks to be more appropriate. KFChick. The size of the chicken is......hmmmm, not surprising if you mistake a chicken piece for "Hot Wings"!!!

Carreffour was pretty eventful today. They changed the layout of the fruits section. Bought watermelon again. Hahahaha. Nice and refreshing in a Shanghai summer, especially from the fridge! Yummy! While packing our stuff into plastic bags (self brought because they do not provide bags for you here....), I notice a small girl dragging a mini luggage bag. It's one of those scenes where kids like to drag their own small bags for fun or for their toys. However, she was stopped by the security who started asking her what is in her bag. She started crying and screaming and wailing for her mum. I thought she was frightened by the security, but what happened next was amazing. Two ladies inside Carreffour started running!!! The ran towards the escalator inside to try and get to the upper level. That is when I realised they were making used of the girl to steal stuff through her bag. So now they are deserting her and making the great escape! Security was shouting for colleagues to go upstairs to stop them... not sure what happened because we did not stay to watch how everything unfold.

Th girl was sacrificed by the mum... how can she run and leave the child behind??? This is going to be a scar in the kid's life. I hope she does not grow up thinking such bad influence is the norm. Sigh... everyday more and more things unfold that makes me wonder how it can all happen in the first place. Some of the issues are just unbelievable, senseless and ethically wrong. I wonder how it can even come up as a point of discussion on forums, in courts or in the newspapers. What principles are people exposed to when they are growing up these days?

The Eaten Sun

Many stories are passed about what happens today... eating of the sun by some heavenly creature lah (with a really big appetite lor)... some demons capture the sun lah... (they must be bigger than the sun then!)... the rays are harmful to unborn kids lah... and this and that lah...

Anyway, the next time this happens here is supposed to be 300 years later. From my wild estimate, NO ONE should be around to see it bah. So imagine the hype! There were companies selling tour packages to different parts of China, complete with a final visit to certain place that is best for viewing the "sun eating". Then there are those that fly in the air to catch it. All the gimmicks that can generate revenue will definitely be explored.

Well, the most important time frame would be 0830hrs - 0930hrs. Everyone got so excited!!! Aha! Weather forecast cloudy and rain :op So... a certain few got to see the nibbled sun... and then it was all done behind the clouds... Woah... a pitch black day for 6 mins... it was a cool effect... And just like that, it was over...

So the next time there is sun on a rainy day, you better stay under cover. It might actually be the saliva of that darn hungry creature that wanted to eat the sun...

Visit

It was Varian's turn to visit this time. Came on Friday and just left today. Catch up a little and talk about past times, as usual with friends from past times hahahaha

Played badminton in the morning and my legs had transformed to jelly after some inspiration from Transformers. Not sure why I was so tired this week. Maybe because I missed some regular sessions. Not sure how much more chances to play since the school might stop allowing us to play soon. Still considering to buy a new racquet, but not sure if anyone else will be playing by the time I go back.

Old movies on the TV tonight. Watching Stephen Chow again. Wahahaha... hmmm, that reminds me... Helios says he got a DVD for me with all of his movies... wonder if he still remember where he kept it... though I saw the DVD set myself at the shop last week... hmmm hmmm hmmm...

Movies Movies Movies

We saw Happy Gilmore on TV... it's ok... seems like one of the earlier Adam Sandler films because he looked pretty young in it... Rebekah said she is planning to catch Click tonight... I think that is one of the more touching movies by Adam...

Next we saw Marley & Me! Debbie said it was recommended by Debs.
Touching lah!!!
I recommend this too :o)

Don't Mess With The Zohan was darn funny at the start though hahahahaha...

Badminton

Finished playing a game of badminton today and really enjoyed it. Especially since I missed it last Saturday. Wonder if I will be playing this sport in the long run. Need to get the right mix of people to have fun sometimes. Not just about being competitive. Andrew for sure will play it. I think Connel is a little too busy. Hmmm... who else?

Gonna be quite a busy day tomorrow with quite a lot of things to check and prepare. Focus focus focus... actually it can be quite fun hehehe... I think I will miss it all when I eventually have to give it up. Heard about an extension, but nothing is ever certain in an ever changing world. Heh.

I actually made the statement "if he can accept her, he can accept a million others". Can't believe that came out... but then... if everyday is like striving to fulfil expectations, it can be a little tiring in the long run... There is no definite formula for some things, but if the process is like pushing against the wall, surely something is wrong. The process is meant to be enjoyable :o)

Returning

Tried to change a new template for my blog, since that is the most obvious that there is a brand new beginning for it! But it seems that my current template is the nicest according to my personal taste! So, too bad... no new or fresh look for this blog... same old brand new you :o)

Still trying to figure out how to archive all the previous posts or how I am going to look through all of them. If I focused on doing that, then I think I am not going to blog proper for the next few years. Now that my wife has effectively moved off to Shutterfly, it seems that a lot of people cannot get their updates on what is happening to me through her blog. But of course, now they have more pictures to look at in her shutterfly page hehehe... all the baked stuff that I have to eat are up there!

Missed badminton on Saturday because I had to go back and do some testing. And that failed too! So, in a sense, I missed the game for nothing! Gotta go find out why the test did not work. Hmm, sometimes finding solutions are part and parcel of the interesting part. Wonder how long all these are going to last.

Still contemplating the racquet and shoes. Sigh. Racquet broke. Shoes too. Maybe I am becoming super active compared to before and they are just not used to it. Poor racquet... the head cracked and I had to say goodbye... The shoes... I remember blogging about them early on when I started this... Now it has left me... Shall I stick to Nike again? What should I buy? Should hav brought back my court shoes... I would prefer to buy something that I can run in now. I need the energy return system!!!!! When you are of certain age, it becomes a big difference!!! Hahahaha

Saw quite a number of pictures on Facebook about 7th Coy and also some of the sharing by the guys I used to mix with in there. Certainly brought back a lot of memories. Time flies and it has been so many years since then. How I wish time could turn back and I could relive those years again. Sometimes that is when the thought of growing old becomes all too scary. The feeling goes away of course... but well... that is why we must be responsible in the way of our conduct, just because we cannot change the way things are once they are over. History can never be changed.

Recently, did some more reading (in the toilet). Finished 2 Readers Digest, Who Moved My Cheese, and now starting on Growing Deep In The Christian Life by Charles Swindoll. I always think his books are a little too serious, but this one is quite ok so far. He actually put in effort to try and make it look fun. That's an achievement, considering that he is trying to convince that doctrine is fun and not all just serious... Maybe I will post one or two things from there in here, if I find it interesting. Who knows...

Looks like not possible to complete the Ghost Trapper mission this time... Just too tough trying to attract them Shadow Ghosts for midnight catch. Too bad... Getting a little bored because there is nothing much else to do for this... Maybe I should have just stuck to Fish Wrangler and MouseHunt... not to mention that I am considering to give up MouseHunt soon... nothing much to it now... Actually it is good news to get bored of Facebook games... I have a lot of other better things to do really... Getting blocked here is not going to help things too... Hahahaha...

So much for now... think it is a lot after such a long break. Hopefully I can keep this going hehehe. Sometimes nice to pen stuff down. Gets it out and feels good.

To the wrestling ring...

Soon

Facebook got blocked and I managed to find a go around... At the same time, the solution allows me to logon and view Blogspot...

Probably time to start working on this proper...

Just looked through tons of templates and still decided to stick to the same one...
Quite a bit of work to be done here and also on my computer...

Better start to be more focused :op

Blogging

Just back from lunch... Think I have left this site alone for a long long time... Will need to relook at all the previous posts to sieve out some details and maybe re-organise this. Looks like the absence is going to take even longer.

I guess I can just view Wifey's blog (Siao Char Bor) to keep updated on what has been happening. Too old to remember everything these days.

Maybe she should start a food blog. Wahahaha...

Working In A Swaying Building

Colleague 1 working on Excel spreadsheet adjusting columns width:
Damn! My blood pressure is getting high again... I cannot control the mouse properly...

Colleague 2 holding temples in frustration:
This stuff I am working on is really giving me a headache!

Colleague 3 planning rosters:
Man! I am getting dizzy....

Prawnkid (thinking):
I feel a rocking motion on my chair and dizzy too. This is the same feeling that I got during the Japan trip. Oh man, don't tell me they have earthquakes here.

And yes it is... one of those bad ones that hit with a great number of casualties. It was in Sichuan which was more than 1000km away from us. We still felt it at a recorded 5.7 on the Richter Scale.

Chinatown Community

Was supposed to meet some of the Club 7 people tonight, but everyone talked about organising and no one did anything. Received call from Karen and decided to meet her and Mr & Mrs Atom for dinner at Chinatown instead.

Hmmm...it was definitely different from the planned frog porridge. Hahaha, ended up at Smith Street and had satay. It was nice catching up and talking about different stuff from what we used to talk about. Hope Mrs Atom will love her new job as she goes along hehehe...

Was there early and ventured to the open stage where a young band was playing and entertaining the older crowd. Their voices were pretty good, though it can be noticed that they were not familiar with the harmonization for some of the songs. And their bids to try and hype up the community did receive quite a bit of response! Hey, I am surprised, since there was quite a big bunch of the older generation playing chess in the background. Have not watched that for a while and so I did. Still wondering if I will play chess at the void deck when I am that age.

An old man finished his "challenge" of checkers and was getting up to leave. Stood up and fell over. Think he was sitting for too long and he felt dizzy when he got up. Instinctly went over to help him and I felt quite a bit of flurry thoughts as I got him to his feet. It's a little bit scary to grow old and suddenly lose what you have currently. Health, strength, mobility, etc...

Awwww... so much thoughts about no fear of death and all... promise of the life to come... but then again, the practicality of the situation still makes you think sometimes. Mortal thoughts? Hahahaha... without going into spiritual talk and all, the human side of us shows sometimes...

How To Test The Attire Market?

I still remember the time when Andrew was saying the trick to test how far you can go to dress down for the company. So many people want to dress down when they go to work, somehow at least for one day of the week, and somehow again on the Friday. This is something that management can never understand, and yet something that a lot of the staff want. Both cannot convince each other the need/no need for it.

Actually, it is not so much of an issue really. What matters is what needs to be done. A big percentage of the people will not meet any external parties anyway, so I am not sure why there is a need for the certain attire. There are companies, big companies, with their management appearing for the same conferences in jeans and there we are decked in ironed pants, shirt and tie, sometimes even with jacket. No one thinks any lesser for them or any higher for us.

Perception. It is not a matter of what perception you have. The only thing that matters is whose perception is endorsed. Hehehe.

First Day
Me : Long sleeve shirt, Pants, Leather shoes
He : Long sleeve shirt, Pants, Leather shoes

Second Day
Me : Long sleeve shirt, Pants, Leather shoes (better looking pair!)
He : Short sleeve shirt, Pants, Casual leather shoes

Third Day (badminton after course, so brought change of clothes)
Me : Long sleeve shirt, Pants, Leather shoes
He : Short sleeve shirt, Pants, Casual leather shoes

Fourth Day (having crabs after course!!! so...)
Me : Short sleeve shirt (tucked out), Corduroy pants, Leather shoes
He : Short sleeve shirt, Pants, Casual leather shoes

Fifth Day
Me : Short sleeve shirt (tucked out), Jeans, Leather shoes
He : Short sleeve shirt, Casual Pants, Sports shoes

Wahahaha... according to Andrew's Attire Test, this is a pass.
I should feel more relaxed next week hiak hiak hiak hiak

Training To Be Safe

Back to Singapore from Tokyo trip. I should think there are quite a number of pictures that Qing took. Hahaha, sometimes I always kid that she went to the trips herself since I would always volunteer to be the cameraman. Probably because I think she enjoys being the subject of the picture most of the time :o)

I must say that going to a holiday while on leave does not really allow me to relax properly or take a break. Would ideally prefer to not do anything for a period of time. That will really allow me to relax and take a proper break. Holidays require the planning and coordination, so it can be more hectic in a short time! Though nothing beats having no proper agenda but to do whatever you want. Hee...

Starting my training course tomorrow. It is going to be a little bit more stressed now since I have to get the implementation going the moment I go back. That is going to be not easy. Now is the time to stand up and be counted. Have to shift to a higher gear once I go back. I think it is time that I work at hyper mode.

Sister Act 2

I am so tired today... Finally the week of holiday is finishing :o( There is so many things to do after today. Training. Unfinished assignments. Writing and more writing. This is going to be a long ride from now on.

Probably made Qing unhappy by staying in to sleep while she went out with Mama. Feet not listening. Body not obeying. By the time I wished I went with her instead, no chance of finding out where they went :o( Stupid!!! Grrr...disappointed with myself. Haiz, should have just gone along. She sure let me rest now and then mah. Hope she enjoyed herself though. Flying off in the evening...........where are they leh?

Switched on TV for a while... they are showing Sister Act 2. It was my favourite for such a long time. Lauryn Hill was definitely good, especially in His Eyes On The Sparrow. I remembered looking for that version for so so so long. Marijke introduced her CD to me too!

And the part that made me laughed the first time...

Maria :
I don't know how to sing Mary Had A Little Lamb...

DeLoris :
It is not Maria's fault that she does not know how to sing Mary Had A Little Lamb. Maybe Mary did not have a lamb where Maria came from. Maybe Mary had a dog...

1st Shanghai Visit

Finally decided that I will need to go Shanghai for a visit to see the people there and see how everything is like. It would be my first trip to China. Not sure what to expect, but a lot of people seem to have a prejudice against China. And then of course there are those who think that it is a place that is full of business opportunities. The only thing I remember some friends telling me to look out for are the people that would spit on the streets. Will I see them? (so disgusting, but I do it on the soccer field sometimes hahaha)

Was going to be a very short trip for me. 2 days and 1 night only since I have a number of things to do back in Singapore. And not to mention that I will help to save on the accommodation. Never been one to anyhow splurge other people's money :op

Took the above two pictures when I was going back on the second day. MagLev train. It has a top speed of 431km/h! My picture shows that it took 8 mins to reach that speed, but in reality it was shorter since I took some time to stabilize my phone properly for the shot. The train is a good and fast ride between the airport and town though. It takes about 7 mins. That is really convenient. One way would be about RMB40, that is about SGD 8 (if you produce an air ticket to qualify for the discount). I doubt Singapore would ever want to build something like this since we are so small. Somemore we already have the MRT to airport. Ahhh, just drive lah...

Saw this machine in the train station. I kept wondering what it is and went for a closer look. Medicine dispensing machine! Woohoo, not bad for someone who needs a quick fix of the headache and not very sure where to look for the pharmacy. Especially when they are close for the night! As long as no one is abusing the drugs, I think this is something good to have. Well, no one abuses it here in Shanghai as far as I can see. Considering that they have way more people than Singapore, perhaps it is possible for us to have something like that. Not sure which pharmacy will choose to implement this in the end. Will it ever be approved? At least can create jobs for someone to drive around the country and do the topping up! :o)

I stayed here for the night. It is a hotel within a hotel. First time I see such a setup, but apparently the owner is a Singaporean! He rented the higher floors and set it up under another hotel name. The heater was not working properly when I was there and it was freezing. Wrapped under the duvet like a spring roll. Well, this is the picture quality that my Nokia 6300 can manage at night. Grainy as usual...

Back

Just back from New Zealand. Looks like I have been missing quite a number of backdated entries. Better jot down before I forget some nice memories :o) Now post updating of the blog from far away, slowly releasing the memories for the hands to type the entries. Think: steam coming up from the head when a formidable pugilist purge the poison from body.

Wahahahahahaha... that should be able to show how much I love swordfighting shows :op

New Zealand. Connel says it is the capital of adventure. It really is actually. From trying to organise the trip, there are so many things that can be done there if you really want to do everything. Then you have to limit yourself due to the budget, time there, practicality, laziness, fears (of one or both of us), and so on and so forth and on and forth and o and f.

We went for the ambitious route of going round the island by driving. Hahaha. Also because I only planned for a few activities, so we should have a lot of time to drive around in the long day and short night season. Thinking back, I was mad to a lot of people, even the car rental company. Wahahaha. And I got a speeding ticket! Grrr.... on my birthday somemore. The officer still said "This is one birthday you will not forget". In New Zealand, no point even starting to explain. If they think you are wrong, they are stopping you to issue the ticket, not to listen to your explanation. And their fine... you would rather go to Mortens with it...

Went for water rafting at Rangitata River. One of the best companies there I would say, since they have the river almost to themselves. Only the company is allowed entry there and they have their own private access to the river. It is good to go in a group, then everyone can be in the same raft. For a person who is quite anti-water sports, I am surprised that I decided to go for it. Something to enjoy with Qing I suppose. Hahaha, but I am glad that I loved it. Especially since the water was fresh water and definitely not stinging her face or my eyes. The raft leader made sure my head was in the water a long time at a part of the route. Contact lenses were super clear after that. I should go tell Gary that the contact lenses he sells will not drop out even in rafting conditions. Hahaha...

Milford Sound is not worth the drive I think, though going on a cruise that stops directly below a waterfall is something that I have never tried before. Qing was freezing and so we could not go to the outside for a great portion of the time. Even I was cold at times! Glowworm caves. Seeing once is enough. Qing was nice enough to go along with me since she already saw in Australia.

Fox Glacier. Nice! Hehehe, especially walking to it. Getting colder and colder and we had to make sure we were all wrapped up going there. At some point had to remove our shoes and walk pass water at freezing temperatures (but how come not frozen leh? hmmm). Went so close and yet not allowed to go right up to the glacier to touch it. Was deemed too dangerous and blocked from public. It was amazing to see that the entire glacier was actually moving down as ICE like it was mentioned in those geography lessons. Nature created by God is amazing! Anyhow, maybe one day if I ever come back again, I might sign up for the trekking on the glacier itself. At least I need not plan a round the island again. Can be more specific on the adventures. Must find some other sporty group to go along and we can all do everything as a group.

Whale watching is as what Martin described. Everything just to see the tail. Wahahahahaha. But at least I get to see it once in my life, but that is enough!

My proposal was accepted :o) Now looking forward to 5 January 2008 *super wide grin*

Prescott Wedding

Alison Prescott got married on this day. Surprised to be invited since I don't really know many other people. Probably except Ah Tiang, but she had to sit with her family. Heh. Time flies. Got to know Alison through Ah Tiang actually, back in the days of UK. Went Alton Towers together and she was frightened by my dramatic description of the ride. Wahahaha, but nice person to know. Hmmm, I think I still have that Alton Towers picture of us somewhere.

Still remember the Ponti's Cafe at Covent Garden that we went. Nice place to chat and chat, with the nice drink, yellow cosy and easy lighting. Alison is someone that you can sit back and just listen to her endless stories. Hehehe. That goes very well for me since I have difficulties starting conversations proper. Easier to continue conversations I think. Now that we are both back in Singapore, meet even lesser. How strange such things happen sometimes.

Sat beside a museum curator during the wedding. How many times does that happen?! He reminds me of Night At The Museum... Rarely attend an afternoon wedding, but this one at Traders Hotel was not too bad. Since I was sitting with strangers, did not eat as savagely as I usually do. Wahahaha. Some of them were quite surprised that I think the mango dish is too sweet for my eating. Gave me that "how can you ever refuse such delicacy" face. Ha! I think they would never have thought of all the things I ever tried before I started holding back on my eating "repertoire".

*Thinking* Food at the dungeon in Poland....... that was cool.......

Passport To The World

The graduation of trinket! Finally got her passport to travel the world lo. I'm sure she is going to enjoy that part of it... hehehe... see if she still like her working world of numbers after that... hahaha...

Their performance of the High School Musical and Grease was quite interesting. Hahaha, wonder when was the last time I had to be involved in preparing for some performance or skit or something like that. Gone were the days of going for camps and skits were done for competition and amusement as part of group games. Maybe I should look for a camp to attend again someday. Wonder when that will be though. Hmmm... still thinking about going for a hike to Berkelah too... not easy to find time, kakis, lobangs... haiz...

Anyway, met Mindy and Rachel too! Been some time since I met them especially Rachel. Newton Circus was probably the last time. That was also the time that I first heard the Road Runner horn for Suzuki Swift. Argh! My car has it too :o(

Mindy looks so executively professional! Wahahaha... wasted not much time to catch up since I had to go back to work. Wonder when we will meet again lo...

Trinket's endless number of poses....................."

Work?

Took leave today. Just did not feel like working. Was called to do something however. Worked from home for a moment and realised that it is a total waste to go on leave and work from home! Played games instead but was thinking about the work. Changed to half day leave and went back to office for second half.

Crap! I might be considered quite bo chap in the office and yet I feel I wanna do everything right. Ironic that there is a mismatch of views.

Got to think what I really want to do about it...

Kermit's Farewell

Today marks the last day for kermit aka Josh. He decided to bring his last day forward with leave and so it seems sudden that he is leaving. Three months notice is not that long sometimes. Time is really subjective.

We went to Basil Alcove, located at Fortune Centre. Alfresco seating. The food was quite nice, though I think the duck would have suited me more than the pasta. Anyhow, never knew that the place existed until Jessica suggested it. I must say that it serves better that I thought it would.

Off to Seattle kermit will go now! For quite some time. I think his family will definitely miss him. I don't think that will make me reconsider though. Have never really thought twice about staying on my own! Hahahaha... must be those days in England...

Bought beancurd tarts for Alina to bribe her hubby for returning late! Wahahaha....glad that she liked them. Jowin bought some too......she is really beginning to seem like a little sister in the way she behaves....even the way she asks questions or for help! Hmmm...is this how an older brother feels?

Black Society

Duane got posted back to Singapore. Will be permanent from February next year. James, Morgan and I decided to meet up with him for dinner at Black Society in VivoCity. The gathering of the Isengard BBS mailers! Hahaha...James did not have Vv's contact, so could not get her. I know I still have her contact somewhere. Just wondering if she would wanna keep contact with us...

Anyhow, Black Society is nothing to crave her. Nothing much more than another Chinese restaurant. I think it was ridiculous for them to state the limits of their servings and demanded us to order more drinks or more food. Especially when the food was too much in the end because they painted an inaccurate picture of the portions that they serve. That totally spoilt my image of that place. And to think that I wore a black top to suit a black society dinner. Crapz!

One lesson learnt is to park at HarbourFront if I go there again on a busy Saturday. The queue at VivoCity itself is not worth. Probably easier to get to the cinema from HarbourFront side too. Just straight across and not trying to negotiate the windy ways.

I am amazed that James and Morgan are good friends, considering the way they bicker...

2300 in 1

2300 in 1.

I'm quite mobile :o)

Innocent Ah Boy

Tried and tested. I am innocent. Not guilty of all charges. Seems that the people around me are more relieved than I am.

For some unexplanable reason, Gingerbread insisted that we should celebrate. First time we had Crystal Jade for lunch at airport! Hehehe...

Had a number of congratulatory messages. Looks like I am being tracked :o)

Now I am a free man...

Brothers

My only day to work for the week! Feels good if all work weeks are like these! Hahaha... But well...

Caught Brothers with Connel, Vanessa and Ah Qing in the evening. Not too bad, but also not too fantastic. Not sure if the girls liked it. Hahaha. Doubt I will get a chance to watch Resident Evil.

Anyway, good excuse to get it on DVD and watch as Trilogy...

Tonsilitis!

Just does not feel right for a common flu. Saw the usual doctor instead of the one on temporary shift yesterday.

Tonsilitis! Shucks. Three days MC, though I said I will evaluate after two days. Doctor offered to extend it to three after anyway.

Inflammation of that hanging thingy at the back of the throat...
