Office Movement

Been packing stuff in my office. Look at my desk, how much cleaner can U get? If only there was no work piled up all the time. Hahaha....actually just at the position that I am standing is about 4 big boxes. Going to shift office this weekend lo......will be at the new office from Monday! I am going to get a smaller area compared to now, hopefully can get used to it.

Was just looking at my picture and thinking.......all the laptop users put the laptop on the desk and all the desktop users put the CPU on the floor.......what was the guy thinking when he started naming the laptop a laptop and a desktop a desktop???

I think a laptop should be called a desktop and a desktop should be called a sidebox. Things should change and can change. But can people change to accomodate the change?

Club 7

Just spent about half an hour in Club 7 Server. Been some time since I played properly. With the chalet, Melbourne trip and meeting up with friends almost everyday. Good to catch up with some of you that I have not seen in a long while.

Club 7 - The Club of Fun & Laughter

Been a number of years since this club was formed. Funny how time flies and the members have known each other pretty well. It was good to see those that came for the chalet. Who would believe that a Counterstrike Club has such activities? Not to forget those pool sessions, makan, opening of Atom's coffeeshop, etc... Thankful that I am able to make some really close friends from the Club.

What Is Love?

Taking a break from packing my stuff in office. We're finally moving today. That means I have to be here on Sunday to help setup everything in the new office for the other staff.

Being in Middle Management is pretty challenging. You MUST do everything that your boss tells you to. You try to delegate to your staff, but end up trying to answer their clarifications or helping them to do the work because they are just unable. They get paid if stay past office hours, whereas you are expected to stay to produce whatever you were tasked to do. There is no point for Management to stay back with you because they only need the information that you should provide them when you are done with your work. For those who have gotten my namecard, that entire designation that you see under my name is just the extended equivalent of SLAVE. No worries though, I am a happy slave :o)

Okie, back to my original intention of writing down about Love. Description of Love?

True Love is unconditional.

That's all. No BUTS about it. It is not dependent on whether a person loves you back, U still love. It is not dependent on the physical lifespan of something given in love. For example, U will always remember what your parents/grandparents/friends did for you out of love. You will always remember something that is given out of love, even if it has been discarded by now.

My mother loves me regardless of how I treat her. I play her out by not going back home for dinner. For more than three years ever since I came back from UK, I do that. But even this morning, she is still asking if I am going home for dinner. That is true motherly love. Thanks Mum. (By the way, I am not going back for dinner today :op)

I love my "god-daughter". I told you before. How I treat U is not because of how U treat me. I will still be there for U if U need me. Just let me know. (I'm happy to see that U've grown a little.)

Why is love so unconditional? Answer : It has always been like that.

Creation came about because of love. When you love something, it will definitely be good in your eyes. God saw all that he made and it was GOOD! Of course, true to the "WAH LAU EH" syndrome, Man has to fall. All because of one fruit. Alamak! One whole garden of fruits not enough, must be so whiny and eat THAT particular fruit. Well, His ways are not ours. Without the fall of Man, we'll not see the redemption of Christ.

Do you think Christ loves you? YES. Do you think he knows you love him or not? DOES IT MATTER?! You were not even swimming in your mum when He died for you. But He died for you all the same. Why? Becoz His love is unconditional.

So the benchmark on how love should be is set. Where do I measure in comparison?

Blogging does burn energy. I'm going for lunch. (Yes Tingie, any reason to eat is a good reason.)

Old Anointing vs New Anointing

Old anointing reminds you of your sin.
New anointing reminds you of your righteousness in Christ.
Old anointing reminds you of what's wrong with you.
New anointing reminds you of what's right with you in Christ.

Old anointing says God imputes to you the sins and God will by no means clear the guilty.
New covenant anointing says God has condemned your sins and He will remember your sins no more.
And you are blessed because "Blessed is the man in whom the Lord shall not impute sin."

We need new covenant anointing.

What Fragrance Am I?

Was supposed to go shopping today, but ended up coming home. Mabbe do some packing while I am listening to CDs. Shopping will be done tomorrow I hope. Supposed to meet Irene for dinner too.

Well, managed to do a kind of "test" (sent by Antress) after work today. It determined the kind of fragrance I am and proceeded to describe what it best analysed me to be. Shall attach the results here and maybe someone can come along and tell me if this is what you think of me too?

Time

Two weeks ago, my SWATCH was categorized as a STOPWATCH. Why? Becoz it stopped moving. Haiz, one less watch to wear until I bring it to the watch shop.

Was working yesterday and suddenly shocked that it was already 11+am after just a few mails! What happened? Then I realised.......my SOLVIL TITUS decided to follow the SWATCH. Maybe it is time they changed their slogan.

Amelda, you can rest assured that the red SWATCH gets my undivided attention now.

Best Escape Phrase

This year I learnt a phrase that will get you out of any difficult to answer conversation....

"Aaaaaahhhh, you dunno one lah...."

What Is Trust? Is It Strong?

"I trust him." "I trust her." Something not so nice happens in the relationship and suddenly this five letter word is all lost in the confusion and turmoil, overtaken by anger, sadness and regret. What then happened to the trust? Is it trust when it can be shattered?

It all depends on what the trust between the both of you is based on. If it is dependent on what the person do (send flowers? send you home? open the door for you?) or what the person say (sweet words? loving words? mushy words??!!), then REMEMBER THIS......the day that all these are not done anymore, suddenly the trust starts to disintegrate. You begin to doubt if the person really does love you anymore.

So what then should it be based on???

Try having a foundation that never changes. A love that is constant, unselfish, sacrificial and most of all, eternal. Try Him. If both of you have the same foundation and are committed to have a close walk with Him, surely He will guide and lead you. And if He loves you, surely He will bless you.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."

Today, I ask that I will not lean on my own understanding. I will trust.

Who Is The Doctor For?

Just back from lunch, need to get back to packing stuff to move to new office location. I get big window again, but definitely a smaller space. Should be fine with it, I always adapt :o)

Been hearing various sharing by different people on the difficulties that they are going through. People are around to listen to you and to share your physical burden, so that they can pray for you. Most tend to have opinions and want to share them with you. Take them all with a whole bottle of salt because they are not meant to be rule books for you to follow. Everyone goes through their own individual life journey and experience it differently. There is no reason why your life should mirror someone else, even if they have gone through something similar to what you are going through. You want to know what to do, ask Him whom you are living for. After all, it is about your journey to Him, so only He knows the best way.

It is not the healthy that needs a doctor, but the sick.

I am the God that healeth thee
I am the Lord, your Healer
I sent my Word and heal you disease
I am the Lord, your Healer

Lex Luther

Heng Kah, nopez, me did not LITERALLY catch Superman (Autumn, note the use of literally :p) Me not Lex Luther leh........at least I hope my head is not becoming like that anytime soon!

It's a little interesting in the beginning when they play the dialogue by the father to Superman. For a moment U wonder if they wanted to draw a parallel with the Christian context. Of sending a son as the saviour. It did get me thinking for a few minutes in the show.

Kevin Spacey....definitely a good actor....try watching Seven, Negotiator and K-Pax! Diverse roles and he carried them off very well....

Next up, Pirates of the Carribbean. Johnny Depp (who can forget Edwards Sciccorshand) and Orlando Bloom. I hope I dun sound gay wanting to watch movies and stating only the male actors!

Superman Returns

Just caught Superman Returns with Mindy. The show not bad what! Dunno why some people say it is not nice leh. Different people have different taste bah. I like it that the show concentrated on the vulnerability of Superman, and most of all, on how the people think. Not just meaningless wham bam of bad guys.

Correction:
Just caught "Superman Returns" with Mindy.

Hahaha.....just realised that the initial phrase might mean a different thing altogether and definitely a different movie!

The Fresh Beginning

Thought I would never have done this but I am doing it anyway. Sometimes U just surprised yourself with the things that U will do, without expecting yourself to do it.

So this marks the first post of the blog. Dun think it will be very interesting now, partly because by the time I am done with all the configurations of the blogspot, I dunno what else I want to write in here anymore! Haha...

Second day back in office today. So far still got lots of positive energy to work. Reason for being so, it all depends on how U had a holiday before.

Hehehe.....I started off with a chalet in end of June, U know, gotta get the mind, body and heart in tune for holiday mood. 3 days 2 nights of nua-ing, cycling, BBQ-ing, and catching up with some friends. (I hope the people had a wonderful time. If U like the food, please let me know, I will introduce U to the friend who did the preparation for me. Mabbe can help U negotiate for a free spring chicken!)

Then come back to office for one week. Got the aircon man to adjust the aircon to blast at me until the temperature dropped like siao. First time my thermometer (yes I have one on my desk) showed a few bulbs floating up.....that means COLD! I survived it and I knew I was ready for Melbourne.

Wahahaha....tons of fun in Melbourne for me snapping some "wah lau eh" pictures. For those who got some of it, good for U! Mabbe I will put some pictures here, once I figure out how.

Gotta scoot now. Rushing home to eat, bathe, kidnap the car. Meeting a fren to watch a man who wears underwear outside. RED ONE SOMEMORE AH! DUN PUAY PUAY AH!
