Click

Was supposed to watch The Lake House yesterday, but missed the timing. Ended up watching Click. Figured it should be ok to just catch a comedy and relax out.

Surprisingly, Click is more than just a comedy. The underlying plot of the story becomes life questioning. It is almost a wake up call.

The question now is : What Would I Do?

This movie is good enough for me to decide to get the DVD when it is out :o)

Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Karen!

Man & Machines

Just finished the RT (Remedial Training) session for today. The trainers tried to make it interesting by having a competition between the new PTIs (Physical Training Instructors) vs the reservists. There were 115 of us vs 25 of them. Competition: Number of pull-ups.

As usual, most of the reservists cannot be bothered, so dun even try. Ended up with 425 for PTIs taking the win. That is an average of 16 pull-ups per PTI. I think they are machines dressed like humans...

The PTI for reservist decided to help by doing pull-ups to count towards our side. They are seasoned machines. Three of them did 25 each. I dun think they drink Redbull, they probably eat the entire bull. Can't believe such people exist....in numbers too....

Soon there is no more RT for me.....YEAH.....and welcome to IPT.....

Different name, same shit.....(at least lesser quantity though)

Complete Closure

Been a while since my break-up with Irene. Have gotten over it for some time and very well. For some reason, some people refuse to believe it. Think they are holding on to her, not me.

I am very well and am very grateful for those who were there for me all the time.

Especially Tingie. You made me see life in lots of different angles that I did not before.

Ah Gal, Atom, you both were always there.

Crystal, Yiling, thanks for the encouragement and being there.

Him, without You, nothing is possible.

After my post yesterday about completeness, it seems a divine touch that I had a conversation with Irene. Tonight, there is complete closure.

The hands must learn to let go of what we think is good for us,
THEN only can He give us what is best for us.

His Complete Work

Took my "A Taste Of Heaven" CD and decided to give it a replay. I loved that CD so much before. Even more so after my glimpse of heaven. Playing it now brings back the nice memories.

Then I hear something...

God is here to bring deliverance that is complete.
What God finishes is completely finished.

Lesson From Job

Lesson that I learnt from the story of Job

His "good" friends decided in unison to come together and console him. They weeped for him and they go on to talk to him, console him, offer suggestions, suggest what he should do, blah blah blah.....

So often I do that. People come to me and I say what I feel or think about the situation and I give my comments.

What draws my attention is not what Job was blessed with after. (Of course the story showed how much more Job was blessed for keeping his faith.) What draws my attention was how his friends were condemned!!! After talking for more than 30 chapters in the book and they are condemned at the end.

The lesson: If you do not have godly counsel, SHUT UP.

The Good And The Bad

"Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

If Job can keep the faith, I can and must be able to keep the faith.

Movies

Nacho Libre
This show is damn funny........Ignacio.......have the poster as my handphone wallpaper for now....

I think this would be more worth it than Scary Movie....

Lady In The Water
Heck about the critics. I think this is quite good. Gan jiong enuff to hold my attention. Became a little funny when the lady from Nacho Libre appeared. Could hear Rachel say it, though she was two seats away. Not helping that Tingie was trying to contain her laughter AND shaking the chairs for some reason.......was wondering how come GV Plaza Sing got OSIM chairs leow.....

Dragon Tiger Gate
Caught the show with Heng Kah and Joanne. And I am glad I caught it. I think the directing was good, especially the fighting scenes. Donnie Yen makes it worth watching.

The Lake House
Will need to watch this sometime this week.

It's time to sleep and prepare for Monday blues....been a great week!

Martin's gonna lend me his blades!!!!!!!!!! Serangoon Central better watch out. There's a dangerous kid zooming around soon......... (when am I going to tell myself to go Sembawang to collect it though?????)
