1st Shanghai Visit

Finally decided that I will need to go Shanghai for a visit to see the people there and see how everything is like. It would be my first trip to China. Not sure what to expect, but a lot of people seem to have a prejudice against China. And then of course there are those who think that it is a place that is full of business opportunities. The only thing I remember some friends telling me to look out for are the people that would spit on the streets. Will I see them? (so disgusting, but I do it on the soccer field sometimes hahaha)

Was going to be a very short trip for me. 2 days and 1 night only since I have a number of things to do back in Singapore. And not to mention that I will help to save on the accommodation. Never been one to anyhow splurge other people's money :op

Took the above two pictures when I was going back on the second day. MagLev train. It has a top speed of 431km/h! My picture shows that it took 8 mins to reach that speed, but in reality it was shorter since I took some time to stabilize my phone properly for the shot. The train is a good and fast ride between the airport and town though. It takes about 7 mins. That is really convenient. One way would be about RMB40, that is about SGD 8 (if you produce an air ticket to qualify for the discount). I doubt Singapore would ever want to build something like this since we are so small. Somemore we already have the MRT to airport. Ahhh, just drive lah...

Saw this machine in the train station. I kept wondering what it is and went for a closer look. Medicine dispensing machine! Woohoo, not bad for someone who needs a quick fix of the headache and not very sure where to look for the pharmacy. Especially when they are close for the night! As long as no one is abusing the drugs, I think this is something good to have. Well, no one abuses it here in Shanghai as far as I can see. Considering that they have way more people than Singapore, perhaps it is possible for us to have something like that. Not sure which pharmacy will choose to implement this in the end. Will it ever be approved? At least can create jobs for someone to drive around the country and do the topping up! :o)

I stayed here for the night. It is a hotel within a hotel. First time I see such a setup, but apparently the owner is a Singaporean! He rented the higher floors and set it up under another hotel name. The heater was not working properly when I was there and it was freezing. Wrapped under the duvet like a spring roll. Well, this is the picture quality that my Nokia 6300 can manage at night. Grainy as usual...

Back

Just back from New Zealand. Looks like I have been missing quite a number of backdated entries. Better jot down before I forget some nice memories :o) Now post updating of the blog from far away, slowly releasing the memories for the hands to type the entries. Think: steam coming up from the head when a formidable pugilist purge the poison from body.

Wahahahahahaha... that should be able to show how much I love swordfighting shows :op

New Zealand. Connel says it is the capital of adventure. It really is actually. From trying to organise the trip, there are so many things that can be done there if you really want to do everything. Then you have to limit yourself due to the budget, time there, practicality, laziness, fears (of one or both of us), and so on and so forth and on and forth and o and f.

We went for the ambitious route of going round the island by driving. Hahaha. Also because I only planned for a few activities, so we should have a lot of time to drive around in the long day and short night season. Thinking back, I was mad to a lot of people, even the car rental company. Wahahaha. And I got a speeding ticket! Grrr.... on my birthday somemore. The officer still said "This is one birthday you will not forget". In New Zealand, no point even starting to explain. If they think you are wrong, they are stopping you to issue the ticket, not to listen to your explanation. And their fine... you would rather go to Mortens with it...

Went for water rafting at Rangitata River. One of the best companies there I would say, since they have the river almost to themselves. Only the company is allowed entry there and they have their own private access to the river. It is good to go in a group, then everyone can be in the same raft. For a person who is quite anti-water sports, I am surprised that I decided to go for it. Something to enjoy with Qing I suppose. Hahaha, but I am glad that I loved it. Especially since the water was fresh water and definitely not stinging her face or my eyes. The raft leader made sure my head was in the water a long time at a part of the route. Contact lenses were super clear after that. I should go tell Gary that the contact lenses he sells will not drop out even in rafting conditions. Hahaha...

Milford Sound is not worth the drive I think, though going on a cruise that stops directly below a waterfall is something that I have never tried before. Qing was freezing and so we could not go to the outside for a great portion of the time. Even I was cold at times! Glowworm caves. Seeing once is enough. Qing was nice enough to go along with me since she already saw in Australia.

Fox Glacier. Nice! Hehehe, especially walking to it. Getting colder and colder and we had to make sure we were all wrapped up going there. At some point had to remove our shoes and walk pass water at freezing temperatures (but how come not frozen leh? hmmm). Went so close and yet not allowed to go right up to the glacier to touch it. Was deemed too dangerous and blocked from public. It was amazing to see that the entire glacier was actually moving down as ICE like it was mentioned in those geography lessons. Nature created by God is amazing! Anyhow, maybe one day if I ever come back again, I might sign up for the trekking on the glacier itself. At least I need not plan a round the island again. Can be more specific on the adventures. Must find some other sporty group to go along and we can all do everything as a group.

Whale watching is as what Martin described. Everything just to see the tail. Wahahahahaha. But at least I get to see it once in my life, but that is enough!

My proposal was accepted :o) Now looking forward to 5 January 2008 *super wide grin*

Prescott Wedding

Alison Prescott got married on this day. Surprised to be invited since I don't really know many other people. Probably except Ah Tiang, but she had to sit with her family. Heh. Time flies. Got to know Alison through Ah Tiang actually, back in the days of UK. Went Alton Towers together and she was frightened by my dramatic description of the ride. Wahahaha, but nice person to know. Hmmm, I think I still have that Alton Towers picture of us somewhere.

Still remember the Ponti's Cafe at Covent Garden that we went. Nice place to chat and chat, with the nice drink, yellow cosy and easy lighting. Alison is someone that you can sit back and just listen to her endless stories. Hehehe. That goes very well for me since I have difficulties starting conversations proper. Easier to continue conversations I think. Now that we are both back in Singapore, meet even lesser. How strange such things happen sometimes.

Sat beside a museum curator during the wedding. How many times does that happen?! He reminds me of Night At The Museum... Rarely attend an afternoon wedding, but this one at Traders Hotel was not too bad. Since I was sitting with strangers, did not eat as savagely as I usually do. Wahahaha. Some of them were quite surprised that I think the mango dish is too sweet for my eating. Gave me that "how can you ever refuse such delicacy" face. Ha! I think they would never have thought of all the things I ever tried before I started holding back on my eating "repertoire".

*Thinking* Food at the dungeon in Poland....... that was cool.......

Passport To The World

The graduation of trinket! Finally got her passport to travel the world lo. I'm sure she is going to enjoy that part of it... hehehe... see if she still like her working world of numbers after that... hahaha...

Their performance of the High School Musical and Grease was quite interesting. Hahaha, wonder when was the last time I had to be involved in preparing for some performance or skit or something like that. Gone were the days of going for camps and skits were done for competition and amusement as part of group games. Maybe I should look for a camp to attend again someday. Wonder when that will be though. Hmmm... still thinking about going for a hike to Berkelah too... not easy to find time, kakis, lobangs... haiz...

Anyway, met Mindy and Rachel too! Been some time since I met them especially Rachel. Newton Circus was probably the last time. That was also the time that I first heard the Road Runner horn for Suzuki Swift. Argh! My car has it too :o(

Mindy looks so executively professional! Wahahaha... wasted not much time to catch up since I had to go back to work. Wonder when we will meet again lo...

Trinket's endless number of poses....................."

Work?

Took leave today. Just did not feel like working. Was called to do something however. Worked from home for a moment and realised that it is a total waste to go on leave and work from home! Played games instead but was thinking about the work. Changed to half day leave and went back to office for second half.

Crap! I might be considered quite bo chap in the office and yet I feel I wanna do everything right. Ironic that there is a mismatch of views.

Got to think what I really want to do about it...

Kermit's Farewell

Today marks the last day for kermit aka Josh. He decided to bring his last day forward with leave and so it seems sudden that he is leaving. Three months notice is not that long sometimes. Time is really subjective.

We went to Basil Alcove, located at Fortune Centre. Alfresco seating. The food was quite nice, though I think the duck would have suited me more than the pasta. Anyhow, never knew that the place existed until Jessica suggested it. I must say that it serves better that I thought it would.

Off to Seattle kermit will go now! For quite some time. I think his family will definitely miss him. I don't think that will make me reconsider though. Have never really thought twice about staying on my own! Hahahaha... must be those days in England...

Bought beancurd tarts for Alina to bribe her hubby for returning late! Wahahaha....glad that she liked them. Jowin bought some too......she is really beginning to seem like a little sister in the way she behaves....even the way she asks questions or for help! Hmmm...is this how an older brother feels?

Black Society

Duane got posted back to Singapore. Will be permanent from February next year. James, Morgan and I decided to meet up with him for dinner at Black Society in VivoCity. The gathering of the Isengard BBS mailers! Hahaha...James did not have Vv's contact, so could not get her. I know I still have her contact somewhere. Just wondering if she would wanna keep contact with us...

Anyhow, Black Society is nothing to crave her. Nothing much more than another Chinese restaurant. I think it was ridiculous for them to state the limits of their servings and demanded us to order more drinks or more food. Especially when the food was too much in the end because they painted an inaccurate picture of the portions that they serve. That totally spoilt my image of that place. And to think that I wore a black top to suit a black society dinner. Crapz!

One lesson learnt is to park at HarbourFront if I go there again on a busy Saturday. The queue at VivoCity itself is not worth. Probably easier to get to the cinema from HarbourFront side too. Just straight across and not trying to negotiate the windy ways.

I am amazed that James and Morgan are good friends, considering the way they bicker...

Moving On

She seems to be doing so well now... think it was and is a good move...

No chance to test her card!!!

2300 in 1

2300 in 1.

I'm quite mobile :o)

Innocent Ah Boy

Tried and tested. I am innocent. Not guilty of all charges. Seems that the people around me are more relieved than I am.

For some unexplanable reason, Gingerbread insisted that we should celebrate. First time we had Crystal Jade for lunch at airport! Hehehe...

Had a number of congratulatory messages. Looks like I am being tracked :o)

Now I am a free man...

60th Birthday Bash

Mum's be-earlied 60th Birthday Bash!!! Jumbo with karaoke room as usual. Black pepper crabs are good therapy for tonsilitis recovery! Chilli crabs speed that up too :o)

Most important was her enjoying... now we have to think of Dad's 60th Birthday Bash next month... Wonder where he wanna bash...

They like each other! Coolz!

Brothers

My only day to work for the week! Feels good if all work weeks are like these! Hahaha... But well...

Caught Brothers with Connel, Vanessa and Ah Qing in the evening. Not too bad, but also not too fantastic. Not sure if the girls liked it. Hahaha. Doubt I will get a chance to watch Resident Evil.

Anyway, good excuse to get it on DVD and watch as Trilogy...

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

Tonsilitis!

Just does not feel right for a common flu. Saw the usual doctor instead of the one on temporary shift yesterday.

Tonsilitis! Shucks. Three days MC, though I said I will evaluate after two days. Doctor offered to extend it to three after anyway.

Inflammation of that hanging thingy at the back of the throat...

Monday, October 15, 2007

Sick?

Didn't feel so good from Sunday and I still went for a BBQ though! Today decided to see doctor because it was irritating to work when you do not feel yourself, especially on a Monday (maybe?)

Doctor says it is flu. No fever though. That's not too bad I guess. One day MC. Home after lunch!

Sammi Concert

Tang used to listen to her songs in camp all the time. Then Momi used to listen to her songs in UK all the time. So finally decided to catch her concert!

In the words of Jowin, she really sang the Ah Lian hits... Wahahaha... nice lah... looking forward to Amei concert...

*blasting Sammi hits*

Farewell To Alina - Part 2

Alina aka Nina these days for her Tekken exploits. Now even more time to beat her hubby up in there! Kind of cool to hear that she is moving on to something that seems so much better.

Went to airport for lunch and somehow it is a must to take some pictures there...

Farewell To Alina - Part 1

Looks like I disappeared for a while waiting for the photos to be downloaded to me! Anyway, I had in mind some things to write and yet I did not post anything for a while. A number of things happening this month and it is only the beginning! Some more things to come...

This is the final week for Alina in the office. Can show mood and no need to work lo. Hee... The group of us decided to go to Waraku for her farewell dinner. (Kuishinbo is on hold till we next feel a beastly appetite). Got her a card with us being represented by an animal inside. Heh. Hope she liked the card and had a good time...

Some people will wonder what she is trying to cut (it is very very hard and required the skill of Yeow Giap to "giap" it while she cut). Some will notice the sake! Or the piece of shiny rock on her finger (which only females can convince that stones should be worn and not thrown). Well, this photo is meant for her to be noticed :o)

Her final day tomorrow to say goodbyes to everyone in office...

Glam Clam AT Her Happiest

The union of Ah Long & the Glam Clam!

She looks so happy!!! I'm so happy for her!

True to her style, the wedding photos so truly reflect...

I have seen so many posed pictures in the albums that it gets boring. But hers, they are so individually customised..

It's just so HER! Love the Ben & Jerrys picture...

Wish them many many many more more more good gooder goody days months years ahead :o)

So it's off to Thailand for them... Beautiful Phuket...

Gifts

Gifts from Papa Loh! Useful stuff :o)

Wonder if he will offer me a spare tyre next. Hehehe... But I am quite touched by his kind gesture. He didn't have to do anything for me but gave me anyway. Time to plan the Chinatown trip!

Ah Qing gave me a tissue box! Woohoo...still can hear her nagging about no space to hang...hee...

Union : Monkey & Penguin

Attended the wedding dinner of Monkey & Penguin :o)

Whole new exciting chapter for them!

Wing was so well dressed, better than even in office. He promised to be in suit and tie for mine! Wahahahaha....

For A Change

Chinese Garden plans shelved! Rain..............................

We went for dinner and walkabout. Quite interesting "experience"...hahaha, but quite happy to see them enjoying themselves. I still think that occasional plans do help somehow.

Next time go Chinatown for the fish bee hoon?

Tired? Lazy?

Had a good game today two hours through. Ruth is really good sia. What I struggle to achieve on the court is accomplished by her gracefully. Guess that differentiates the good players from the amateurs. But you only get better playing with the better players! Good that everyone was trying their best. Kong Teng adds a strained hamstring to his tennis elbow. Hope he gets better. I'm surprised and yet happy that he turned out to be the regular player from the entire group. Original players all busy with their own stuff, left with only Joan and me. Hopefully this carries on for a while, but who knows how long everyone will be here. Will I still be here?

For you. A little concerned to see the struggle actually, but glad to see the perseverence. Will always be there when you need me. Sorry about being insensitive just because I was lazy. I hope tomorrow makes up for it okie? :os

Gotta get that GPS......

Tingie & Karen

We met up again after not sure how long. Seems like we have individually gone through our own paths for a while. We are all not in the same environment as we were when we last went out. It was nice to meet Karen again after all this time. Good to see that she is doing ok on the overall, though she managed to shop a few hundred bucks just because I could not meet her earlier!!!

Chatted with Tingie for a while again. Uncertainty looms and yet optimistic. All the best to both of us. Similar situation and yet different. (You know what I am talking about.)

Till we meet again...

P.S. Ellenborough Market Cafe is so so only. Considering the hype about it.

Birth Of Suzuki Shrimp

Long Sunday

Missed both calls by Karen and Tingie in the morning. Was a little surprised when Karen mentioned that the doors were closed for the one hour that she waited. Tingie and me went to try for the third service. Doors were locked with no one! Hmmm........THEN I saw the notice.... Service is at Singapore Indoor Stadium this week! Wah lau...super sotong...

Early trip to IKEA then. Had to force the giggling Tingie to choose her marvellous looking frame that she is going to put scrap in. Hopefully she is artistic :op All the while unable to contact soft-spoken Jen, who sounds like she is going to blast my ears off through Tingie's phone. BUT she says she is soft-spoken. She must have a lot of self confidence. Good. But still remain uncontactable until Tingie and me have attacked some grass jelly watermelon dessert in Xin Wang Cafe. Jen forgot her phone!!! *dramatic music*

Had long chats with Tingie. She knows what I am talking about concerning her life and I know what she is talking about concerning mine. Ironically how we are a little similar and yet it seems acceptable at one angle but abominable in another. Perhaps it is all just a perception. But well, I just have my reservations because I do not know him. She has to convince me someday. Wait till she tell him we went shopping for wedding bands! Wahahaha.......Tingie is so going to be a dropout of Mediacorp. Absolutely unable to play her role in any act...sigh...disappointing lady! What measure finger? What? What? What? Har? Har? HAR?!

Family dinner at Hong Kong Street (again). Davy was amused by my picture. Do you still want to be my friend if I look like this?

Then I took some pictures with Deborah. She likes taking pictures these days. Hehehe, naughty girl look somemore!

Ah Qing came back today! Can't wait to see her pictures using my camera. Think I remembered to changed the settings back. Need to consider the tripod soon. Introduced fried abacus to her. Hope she liked it!

The Invasion

Went to watch The Invasion with Jaime after that. This was like a default choice, since the other alternative was Underdog. Think that is a no-no...

The Invasion provided quite a bit of suspense actually. But not that easy to watch from the first row though...........

But not too bad...we quite like it...Nicole Kidman was decently good here...

Candlelight Dinner

Met up with god-daughter Jaime. Cannot remember how many times we have gone out alone, but definitely not much. Considering she was famished, so decided to attack Hanebo. Alas... the attack was too early. They were not ready... So headed to Tekka Cafe instead... (the number of cafes in VivoCity can be confusing)

I had Cool Cucumber! Quite refreshing, cooling, healthy drink I suppose. But considering the cost price of cucumbers, I should think they were happily ripping me off. Thought there were some echoes of evil laughter coming from the kitchen.

Jaime wanted to try the entire collection in the cafe. Settled with Green Tea Blended with Ice Cream. She needed that to tolerate another one hour before the attack of Hanebo. When we finally got into the restaurant, think they probably entertained two monsters. Hehehe. Two monsters with craving for raw food. Probably ate all the mackerals, salmons and tuna fish they had in stock.

There was a blackout in the restaurant! And suddenly it was a candlelight dinner. Hahahaha.......took two pictures with her fabulously slim Samsung.

Unleashed Again

Each time we go out... I wonder if I really unleashed someone different...

Is this a confirmation? :op

Monday, September 17, 2007

Amei

I wanna go! I wanna go!

Do you?

Unleashed

Decided to attend New Creation with Tingie. Have not met her since she came back too. This time without her forcing foie gras down my throat, so I should be a little safer. She's changed since she's gone to the land of Eiffel Tower. Something like having seen the bigger world out there kind of concept. So it is kind of good to see her moved on. Quite different from some time back.

Quite surprised on her eating VOLUME now though :op Have I unleashed her hidden self???

Anyway, Joseph Prince shared about some interesting bits. Noah's Ark and how it was built. I never saw it that way before. Maybe will read up more on it. Piecing the ark in parallel with Christ. Hmmm.......

"The reason why guys don't understand girls is because the girl was created while the guy was put in deep sleep"
-- Joseph Prince

Wahahaha......maybe it is true???!!! And girls always claim the guy don't get them anything. We even give our ribs man. What else do they want?! They are about the only species on earth that thinks stones are their best friend to be proudly displayed, especially on their fingers.

This song was sung at the end of service. With a unique voice too. Reminded me of Stefanie Sun. But well. This song is still meaningful.

Chuck & Larry

We were waiting for this to come out for some time. So, quite relentless effort by me to watch a movie with Ah Qing (no matter what movie wahahahahahaha)....ended up catching this at The Cathay. Not sure why the system did not show it available on Yahoo and yet bookable at Cathay website. Never trust one source only. But then again, always better to check from the original cinema website first.

Chuck & Larry is more of an extraordinary story of friendship, rather than gay. That was probably more to spice up the movie. Ratatouille was better on the overall, but then again, never know till you watch something. I never trust movie reviews totally. Well, at least I watched it with my favourite movie "part-ter-ner".

Sorry about "No Reservations".

Last Flight Out

Think Ah Qing was not having a good day. Revision stress and all. We made the crazy decision to go to the airport at midnight. Going to the airport without sending or picking someone is not a norm for me. Especially at that kind of time. But hey, I cannot even remember the last time I was at the Viewing Gallery and just relaxing with a chat. Time has been flying by since studies, work, projects, anything, everything...

We had one of the many good chats that we always have. Wished that the night did not pass because of the rush we have to get back to again. Ah Qing thinks this is one of the many crazy things that people do and remember when they look back. Not the usual things...but the crazy ones. Ha. I hope she had a good time and relaxed enough for the stress to go away.

I had a good time doing something out of the norm.

One of the songs that I like. Last Flight Out by Plus One.

Management Of Change

Currently attending Management Of Change course. Quite interesting though there is quite a bit of stuff that a lot of people already knew. Just that the course shows the official documentation of all the behaviours, thoughts and such. Anyhow, I still like it so far. I am surprised that I seem to be thinking quite different from the usual pack. I am tuning to think out of the box naturally! :o)

Major change today. I cancelled my ticket and leave. Hmmm...just felt I wanted to do it, despite the many reasons why I should or should not. Maybe going there just did not feel right at this moment. Have a gut feel that I will not enjoy it as much. Wrong timing...

I need to get quite a number of things sorted. Time to schedule.......and really work on them...

Alignment

Thinking quite a bit for the past few hours. Seems like there are many things on the agenda. I need to align myself and think through everything. Don't wanna dive headlong into everything and be too caught up in them. It's getting tiring to be too involved in everything without really enjoying.

1. Take a step back and enjoy it. Happiness is an experience.

2. The ticket has been booked. Time to go home. Get away. Get a life.

3. The Shrimp is arriving. It's time to countdown and love every moment spent with it.

4. The next biggest step in my life. To go or not to go. I think I will. I have just one chance.

5. Think positive. Sometimes you do not get everything that you want in life. Life is not just about getting. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

881...No Reservations...

Felt lousy for quite a while. Just wanna do stuff that does not require much thought. Eat & Movie. About the simplest things to do.

881. Even my parents have seen it. Since it is still showing, might as well. Majorly Hokkien and screened almost like a musical. Surprisingly full house during my time slot, even after it has been screening for so long. I am supposed to feel lucky getting a ticket. Anyhow, the show tries to portray the different things revolving around people and how they all affect or integrate into the life of another person. How different people can see the same issue/situation differently. The relationship between the two sworn sisters showed that what mattered most to them is that the other is happy. There is not a need to explain everything. Perhaps this is the kind of friendship that Seow Ling referred to...

No Reservations was pretty good. It made me forget time and felt like I was almost in a life long movie itself. Weird. Almost like an audience within the movie. Nick going to San Franscisco. That was when the thought came. Why always the extreme decision when some miscommunication or misunderstanding takes place? I can kind of identify with it for a while. Oddly, that also made me feel better when I finished the movie. What is happening now may not be what I want. So better not to be stuck in it.

True Friend

Chatted with Seow Ling while mapling away...yeah, this time on B world. Who knows how many characters will be created by me at the end of it all. But well, keep each other company at night bah.

We happened to talk about friends and who and what they meant to a person. She thinks I am pessimistic. Over pessimistic. But the interesting thing is what she said in the summary. Surely that would be more pessimistic that what she thought of me.

真的朋友,一个就够

Think that is the push factor that I was expecting. It's set at the end of the month then.

Change Of Plans

One of those rare mega naps due to accumulation of events and thoughts. The dreams come fast and furious, switching from scene to scene. A lot of them strangely familiar events, definitely familiar people. Various combinations clearly depicting the most current thought patterns. That is how some people tend to dream about stuff that they most recently think about.

At least one burden has been lifted and that is good news. There are some things that words can never convince until the actions are seen. You start to wonder why you never believed it initially, but it's still better to be safe than sorry. After all, actions speak louder than words.

Moving ahead. There may be no holding back. Perhaps not a need to. I wonder if I will really be able to accept it? Strong enough? It claws a little during certain occasions. It will definitely be very hard to bear. Worse off when I can't look beyond now. Why that darkness? Really that stuck? Or choose to be stuck? What happens when that time comes? I dunno. I do not have an answer. Handle it when it comes.

I feel like changing my plans now.

deborah's aDORAble 3!

Went for Deborah's birthday celebration earlier. Wah, the number of kids there with the amount of sounds they make, the actions they have, all within the four walls....it would really make you think twice about working for a childcare centre. My mum was really thankful this was not held at home. Imagine the cleaning up after....might just freak out.

Hope she likes the present that Ah Qing and me bought. We had to interrogate the Toy R Us employee for some details of them. Hehehe. Hopefully the carefully chosen gift is right. Ah Qing was ploughing through the shelves like some seasoned Toy R Us shopper. Probably quite seasoned from her antics in MuMuYa wahahahaha

Seeing the cupcakes and the mini Dora cake. Saw Lynnette again. Previously, we concluded that we only seem to meet when someone is getting married. So now it seems that birthdays are added into the meet-up schedules. Now we have to find the next "victim" to celebrate birthday or get married before we meet again :op I remember to ask her about the baking this time! She agreed to teach, but have to schedule properly I guess. The last time I tried baking was also at her house I think.

Back was killing me at the party, had to sit so straight that I am so not used to it. Irene just suggested wearing a corsette. Great, now maybe I can audition for Pirates Of The Coffee Bean. Gotta recover in time for the game on Wednesday. Stiff neck and shoulders are not helping too. Think I better give Jean a call................

My Goodest Friend - A Tribute

You, my goodest friend, are someone who appeared out of the blue! It seems strange to know of your existence and yet only communicating now. All because of some typo error in a document too! But I am so glad that we've hooked up so well.

You truly brightenS my day. You never fail to make me smile with your antics *flicking the finger* Movie kaki, chatline, suanning opponent, sleeping passenger, too many ways to describe you. So... I am satisfied with just, My GOODEST FRIEND :o)

Remembering the promise we made to each other, we'll strive to make this forever.

I thank you. *Your goodest friend with the halo*

(I meant this for your Friendster)

Ratatouille & Evan Almighty

My back is killing me this morning. Probably bad posture throughout the week. Should not have hesistated visiting Jean yesterday. Hopefully it would be ok by Monday. Have a whole week of proper peace (hopefully) to get everything sorted. No getting out of completing certain tasks. Quite irritated by the nagging and the excuses to lame talk to me.

Seems like the movieholic in me is active. Very active. Ratatouille on Friday and Evan Almighty on Saturday! Laughed my head off for both of them. Hahaha. Can literally hear only our laughter at times. Maybe the rest of the cinema did not find it funny at some points, or not as expressive. Who cares?! We enjoyed it. Hehehe...

Ratatouille moment
Making the meat more tender *bish bish bish bish*

Ratatouille lesson
We are family.

Evan Almighty moment
You sound like Evan, but you look like a Bee Gees.
Have you been bitten by a werewolf?

Evan Almighty lesson
Conversation between "God" and Joan in the cafeteria. Puts perspective.

Hmmm, now wondering if I should catch the rest. Enthusiasm for some not as strong as when I first saw the trailer. Will consider.

Hairspray, No Reservations, The Last Legion...

Soft-hearted

Just too soft-hearted!!!

Thinking about it, so am I somehow. Otherwise, why still outstanding?

301

301 is not the latest Levis design. What button fly, zipper fly or can't fly. This just so happen to be the 301st post! Cannot imagine that I have been rambling so much since I started already. Really interested to see the different thought patterns when I look back at the posts at the end of this year. Will I remember the same things the same way as I wrote them?

Played badminton today! It was nice though there were only four of us. Good workout for everybody. Well, at least for me, since I perspire super easily. I think I need to get a better racquet soon. The one that I am using is really taking the life out of me just to hit the shuttlecock to the middle of the next court. Quite like the one that Joan lent me the last time. Light, strong and cheap! Hahaha...

Unexpectedly went for dinner with Jessica after! Hahaha, she offered to send me home if I paid her my bus fare! That is a good deal. Alina is unable to convince her to drive to JB even with a promise of seafood there. Hahaha. Good thing I stay in Singapore :op Well, we headed to IKEA for dinner first and I managed to tempt Jessica with one chix wing! Roast chix with chix wing. She is really wiping out that species... It was nice to be chauffeured home after. :o)

Tomorrow is interview day. All the best to the candidates tomorrow. Two bengs conducting interviews might not be a good thing. But then again, we are such nice people. You never know. I doubt I will be asking much, but have to see how it goes. Stuck in the same room with the same person for the whole day though. Funny that we were chatting about a fan club for him today. Hahaha, I was enjoying the conversation on pop. These girls are one funny lot. Jowin can still say only short of one ticket for redemption to be with him. Cannot take it.......

Hope that everyone can join in the session next week. I am sure we will have a lot of fun! Gonna miss Alina...

Ah Qing look nice in that blouse lah... hee... all thanks to me right? Wahahahaha...

Wonder if there is chance for shopping tomorrow... Hmm...

Specially For You

Tomorrow morning if you wake up,
And the sun does not appear,
I will be here.
If in the dark we lose sight of love,
Hold my hand and have no fear,
'Cause I will be here.

I will be here when you feel like being quiet.
When you need to speak your mind,
I will listen.
And I will be here when the laughter turns to crying.
Through the winning, losing, and trying, we'll be together,
'Cause I will be here.

Tomorrow morning if you wake up,
And the future is unclear,
I will be here.
As sure as seasons are made for change,
Our lifetimes are made for years,
So I will be here.

I will be here, and you can cry on my shoulder.
When the mirror tells us we're older,
I will hold you.
And I will be here to watch you grow in beauty.
And tell you all the things you are to me,
I will be here.

I will be true to the promise I have made,
To you and to the One who gave you to me.

You Took My Heart Away

Michael Learns To Rock cheesy hit. People crinch at such cheesy hits and yet say them to their loved ones. Ha. Joey would probably love this, simply because it is Michael Learns To Rock. I hope you still love this band which I introduced years back. (Or you prefer Chris Tries To Rock still?)

Anyhow, I hope to say the same to my future other half. It takes two to become one.

Staring at the moon so blue
Turning all my thoughts to you
I was without hopes or dreams
Try to dull an inner scream
But you . . . saw me through . . .

Walking on a path of air
See your faces everywhere
As you melt this heart of stone
You take my hand to guide me home and now I'm in love

You took my heart away
When my whole world was grey
You gave me everything and a little bit more
And when it's cold at night
And you sleep by my side
You become the meaning of my life . . .

Living in a world so cold
You were there to warm my soul
You came to mend a broken heart
You gave my life a brand new start
And now . . . I 'm in love

You took my heart away
When my whole world was grey
You gave me everything and a little bit more
And when it's cold at night
And you sleep by my side
You become the meaning of my life . . .

Holding your hands I won't fear tomorrow
Here where we stand
We'll never be alone

You took my heart away
When my whole world was grey
You gave me everything and a little bit more
And when it's cold at night
And you sleep by my side
You become the meaning of my life . . .
You become the meaning of my life . . .
You become the meaning
You become the meaning of my life . . .

Faith

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

For you.
Trust me.
It will happen (naturally).
Just a matter of time.
Cherish whatever there is till then.
Priceless.

The Ah Qing Celebration 2

Finished with the Mortons dinner and decided to take a walk. Otherwise Ah Qing might start to plan some 40 laps marathon swimming again. Stopped midway across the bridge towards Merlion. Ah Qing wanted to take a picture specially for Josh. No surprises that she wanted Josh to notice her trademark signature move.

Finally got one decent shot after a million tries! Can see her tired look by now. Hahaha. It's been a long day out for us since work in the morning.

The final shot for the day! Clock struck midnight halfway on the walk back. I am the first to wish her Happy Birthday!!! Wow, then the millions of messages started to beep on her phone. I wonder if anyone remembers my birthday the same way. Hahaha......

Ended up chatting at her place again and she wanted to go Ubin too! We took so long to decide on the details. Hahaha. If only it did not rain...then we would really have gone to check out Chek Jawa which is newly opened. Gotta plan it again one of the weekends.

I hope Ah Qing had a good time and enjoyed her birthday this year :o)

The Ah Qing Celebration 1

Decided to celebrate the birthday of goodest friend Ah Qing! According to her, she has multiple celebrations with all her different friends. Sounds more like an entire month celebration really. Any excuse for her to eat cake is a good excuse I guess. Well, some changes to plans and ended up waiting for her to fashion show her various outfits for the dinner. Good thing the reservation was held for us. Mortons seem pretty popular even for a weekday.

Had a picture start! (That's quite a lot of wine to drink.......)

The place has quite a nice setting, though it can be pretty noisy with a full crowd. A personal waiter will come and present the entire menu, even with a live lobster. He left us to play with it for a while. Heh. It's nice to have a same waiter giving personalised attention throughout dinner actually. He was a nice chap that did not look 36 too!

That's me posing with the appetizer! It was a nice huge bread serving to be Ah Qing's birthday bread :o) It was a really really nice bake actually. She was thinking how to smuggle it home for personal enjoyment...

The Bread Cutting Ceremony!!! Happy Be-Earlied Birthday to Ah Qing!

Warned by Josh about her universal peace sign poses, Ah Qing did a change for the night. Rather than the conventional cake slice for birthday, she got the famous chocolate cake (with chocolate filling) and vanilla ice-cream! She would finish this even with a full stomach...

Dinner was really fulfilling there which took almost 3 hours! But it was fun! Chatting and chatting and chatting and eating and eating. All the unexpected jokes. Hee...she is one funny girl.

Thoughts

Ended up sleeping at 0530hrs this morning. Woke up at 0730hrs to prepare for work. Been listening to tons and tons of music. Some for different purposes. It's amazing how the preferences can be so diversified.

"Availability may provide leverage but not necessary an advantage."

Hmmm....unexpected familiar feeling....

It's 0430hrs. Should sleep soon.

Thinking: Hmmm....

Licence To Wed

Met the Extraordinary Gentlemen at Settlers Cafe (Katong) last night. Seems that the one in Clarke Quay may be slightly better. Probably because it is on the second level. But well. Played a couple of new games. We really wanted Ah Lau dead pointing the guns at him so many times. Hahaha...

Timing was too rush to catch the fireworks. I figured that the anticipated jam will make us rush, get stuck and just miss out on the actual fireworks. That would have made the mood lousier than knowing that we were not going at all. Could not have dinner there early since both of us had plans before the movie. So.......maybe should go catch the musical fountain instead. hahaha...

Caught Licence To Wed with goodest fren! Awww...I actually thought we were watching the show with the two guys pretending to be gay and getting married. That was Chuck & Larry! Hahaha, so I actually watched a different movie from my expectations. Anyhow, it started a little promising, then it became a little "trying too hard" to be funny. Not a great movie...but well...never know till you watch it for yourself! Maybe we should have gone KTV instead...hmmm...wonder if I need to get earplugs first :op

Went for lunch today with SJ & Reb, Matt, Pat & Grace. Ichiban Boshi! Matt treat again! Dunno why, but we appreciated it after he kept rejecting our offers to split the bill. Should have gone Kuishinbo then....wahahahaha....SJ & Reb were sharing their trip to Spain...Pat was sharing about his intention to go Japan...Matt & me were just eating :o) Why can't they focus on the main objective? :op

No nice jigsaw puzzles. I doubt I will be looking anymore for a while. Passion for fixing dropping for a while. Maybe when I really think of something to fill up that space just at bedside. I had to see that pair of NIKE shoes......does not help with Grace and Matt giving the various reasons why I should buy it. Shall resist it now until it keeps bugging me.......my reason to them is overspending for this month (like I care :op), so should wait till next payday. Then on thinking, that is tomorrow! Wahahahahahahaha..........

Uppy Downy Uppy Week

This week went past pretty fast. Quite a number of things happening. Ups and downs and ups. And yet only within a week!

Anyhow, looks like the way ahead is going to see a number of changes. People moving ahead. Work scope moving ahead. Relationships moving ahead. I have a new goodest friend! Wahahaha...quite a dangerous one though...a lot of different attacking moves (and weapons)...

Suddenly everybody is looking for mahjong kakis. Hahaha...well, hope that means more chance to play the game. Trying to learn more different styles and flexibility.

Looks like I need to make some changes to travel plans. Might make a long one in the next month or two. Time to make some connections again...

Gingerbread Birthday!

Two groups of lunch kakis celebrated the birthday of Gingerbread (aka Jowin) today! By celebrating, they mean carving their own piece of nibbles from her cake! Never even sing her birthday song one!!! How can like that?!

Josh was determined to finish his cheesecake. I think it should be called The BlueWobbly Cheesecake. Wins said it reminds of the failed X-Men experiment. Just thinking about it is gross. Slimy... yucks! Siao Char Bor is smartest of whole group. Just order her vampire tea and then snacked off everyone's plates! Hmmm......picked on my food still keep saying why I don't dare to eat the section she robbed... "Why? I got sickness is it?"

Actually it was great fun that all of us went out. Though lunch is always a little too rushed. Maybe we can go for dinner together sometime. Tomorrow would be a good chance for a smaller group dinner after the badminton. Maybe East Coast Hawker Centre? I hope Josh remembers that badminton is played differently from tennis. Bet he will be tempted to throw the shuttlecock into the air and smash it over the net.

For a moment, did think about Alina "deserting" us. Just when we were all getting along! :o( I'm sure we'll keep in touch somehow, but just not the same. Will miss her giggling in the canteen. Hahaha... And I hope she is still considering getting me a friendship ring! Wahahaha...... my precious.........

Was a little late in pickup today due to some unforseen jam. Which also means that I was spared from one errand! Wahahahaha...would have gladly gotten it though. Next time should say earlier mah! (It's actually dangerous to offer freebies, might get a million arrows on my back! :op)

I'm a little surprised to see the effort to want to communicate more recently by the two of them with me. But it is a good thing. Maybe this will produce a fresher environment for a while.

In good spirits today lah..............should sleep well (again!)

My Defensive Good Friend

I am now sitting behind a defensive siao char bor. Suspecting a certain emotion I have or atmosphere I am trying to create for simple messages. Can see that she is struggling with entries into her blog. Probably as stress as trying to cramp all her notes into one single A4 piece of paper double-sided. I never knew of any humans reading font size 4 until she appeared.

Anyway, situation seems much better now after some "thrashing" out. I think it is good to communicate more. It would be crap to face a possible repeat of an entire lousy day. But somehow past few days were pretty.......stressful, uneasy...... basically felt there is a barrier of some sort.

Can't say I love the responses and the way they were put plainly to me, but at the same time feel better for the situation. Can breathe easier.

Asked more about NZ trip today. Probably get more information tomorrow from Ben. The idea of visiting the glacier seems good. Wonder if this will really happen. All depends on the others now...

Explanation Not Required

There was never a need to explain. I knew it all along.

But if not now, then maybe never.

A Walk To Remember

3 hours. The usual. Was out and about. Sat beside Pat & wife. Thought about some stuff. Saw and felt what I didn't like. How did it come to this? It was all bright and blue before and then now it seems like a drag. Should I do anything at all or leave it to be sorted? Just keep thinking I should be the one. Haiz. Made our separate ways since I was going to Bugis to get some stuff. I needed a walk.

It seemed like there was a purpose. I have not gone for a walk for a long time. It felt like I had an agenda. I kind of did anyway. The route was just way shorter this time. Somehow not willing for this to be the walk. Am surprised that I did make the detour to satisfy the craving. But it was not worth it at all. Felt worse. Crap. It's time for them to get fresher victims.

Got distracted to shop for a waist pouch while I was browsing. Did not get one, but ended up staring at that same pair again. I bet it is a female cut, though it looks unisex. No one served after 5 minutes. I walked out. No urge to pull me back, so maybe it's not a strong want. But I might not have a choice soon. Why did I have to think about all these within such a short period of time?

Supposed to get my contacts. Walked right into Time Club instead. One look. Two looks. Three looks. Walk away. Return look. Tried the white. Asked the variants. Tried the black. Decided on the white. Done deal in 5 minutes. What got into me? Not so sure. But something flashed when I browsed the top row. I remembered something. But I know I cannot be doing everything. Sometimes it irritates more than it impresses. Already it is inclining so.

Got a pretty good deal for the contacts from Eric. He serves patiently as usual. Visits there without Amelda is always shorter. Otherwise I have to wait for her to try out all the frames in that shop. Credit to her for being able to carry almost every single frame off though. And I bet I've gotten quite a number of good deals already. Have ruled Lasik out after long deliberation. Didn't like the strong reason why I should not do it. Crap. Felt lousy when it comes to this. So I guess I will be shopping for contacts now and then. Quite a number of activities are naturally filtered out. Like it or not.

Prawn Ultimatum tomorrow. Unexpected win.

Went for a run. A must. Because I cannot take it anymore. Even if it was in the rain and thunder. Felt it both sides. Thought I noticed one side. First thought "YOU ARE KIDDING ME". I guess there is a certain level of questioning even if I am not bothered somehow.

Don't feel good about it. I might just give up tomorrow. See how it goes.

Shopaholic?

I am not a usual shopper. Hardly spend on myself is probably not enough to describe. Rarely would be more appropriate. In cases where I finally decide to buy something, it is after long considerations. Of course, this means that I sometimes end up buying big ticket items (eg. house, car, camera, etc.)

So I am surprised that I actually spent $431 in a matter of two weeks. And not on a single expensive item. Not that I took long to think about buying the stuff too. I hope I do not turn into a shopaholic. Hahaha, though I just have to compare with Tingie and I should be well into the safety zone of thrifty :op

Anyway, I guess they are spent on stuff that I would use. So that should be a good justification. Holding back on buying the rollerblades does make it feel a little better. (Like real... think I just did not find a pair that I like). Aiyah, money is earned for spending anyway. As long as I am not spending more than I am earning, I should be safe! Saving seems on target anyway.

Funny how I think it is ok and go on trying to reason to myself that it is really ok. Spending a lot on myself is really not a norm...

Well, at least I am the proud owner of something that I bought in 5 minutes!

New Zealand

Let's go ahead with the New Zealand plan as scheduled then. I need some time to look into the itinery.

Yes, I really wish you to come along.

Magnet

My answer.

Opposite poles attract.

Character

To some, the determination of the breakdowns.
To some, the dependence through the breakdowns.

To some, the beginning of the bad times.
To some, the strength through the bad times.

That which moulds you and makes you, defines you.

Do you have what it takes?

Keukenhof Gardens

http://www.hort.wisc.edu/mastergardener/Features/botgardens/keukenhof/keukenhof.htm

Keukenhof Gardens.

Almost 7 years now and I have still not gone there. Plus the stories from Alison, Marijke and Da Jie. The photos I saw from Da Jie's album probably had the biggest draw factor. Even the website does not fully justify the magnificence of Keukenhof Gardens itself.

When would I go? The next? That trip?

Already got the stuff needed to go. Directions from Alison. One more push factor. It must be stronger than the memory.

You're Still You

Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine
Your face I've memorized
I idolize just you
I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
I've loved you for so long
And after all is said and done
You're still you
After all You're still you
You walk past me I can feel your pain
Time changes everything
One truth always stays the same
You're still you
After all You're still you
I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
And I believe in you
Although you never asked me to
I will remember you
And what life put you through
And in this cruel and lonely world
I found one love
You're still you
After all You're still you

PK vs SK

Connel appeared on newspapers again! As usual, using him as the drawing point for applicants to become OBS instructors. I am proud of him. After all these years, I would still say that he is my closest brother. I grew up with him since 1985, seen the bad (hahaha yes!) and the good side of him. We've been through a lot. I've seen him transform through the years. It's amazing when we look back and talk about how he used to be. It's a life testimony.

Crystal commented that Connel still looked the same after all these years. Heh, so do I. We don't age! *evil laughter* Forget about SK II. PK (courtesy of Prawnkid) is the best there was, best there is and best there ever will be. The secret better than the fountain of youth. Maybe should sell it to the highest bidder. But then again, marketing it might affect the sales of SK II. How can I be THAT evil? For their welfare, we'll keep that secret to ourselves :o)

PK vs SK.
PK win.
Perfect.
:op

Bourne Ultimatum

Just back from Bourne Ultimatum! Not too bad, about the same as the previous two, but not as impressive somehow. As usual, too smart to be true. At least parts 1 & 2 were fresh ideas in a sense. The fast action makes up for the usual plot.

Took two out of a three seater block. Debbie happily "lying" down on the other two chairs and super comfortable sia!

More movies coming up actually. I wonder if people budget for the number of movies they watch a year...

Rush Hour 3

Decided to go watch Rush Hour 3 today. With cabin crew of another airline this time! Wahahaha... Quite funny movie though it was pretty lame to include Jackie singing. Chris Tucker is funny as usual and the cab driver has got to be one of the better actors in there. It was nice, almost as good as the previous two.

Saw the trailer for Evan Almighty. I think that would be pretty good. Probably laugh the head off type.

Antress, we will catch a movie together definitely one of these days. Start planning to come to town!

The Long Walk

Is it time for the long walk yet?

Want?

What is it you want then?
The answer remains......

Should be in good hands. Can provide better also. True blessing and happiness!

The solitary print at the beach. The first rays. The brightening. Afresh?

Secret

Did not buy anything at the Tampines sale. Millions of people seemed to have gathered there though. Decided to catch Secret. First time watching movie with a cabin crew! Wahahaha...

Feelings were really strong especially from the beginning. They were even more direct than I thought I was. Honest with each other.

They can withstand the test of time.

Perfect Strangers

Quite a number of twists and turns, but not as complicated as Infernal Affairs, and yet I prefer the latter.

Looks like Halle Berry is trying very hard. I reckon she should stick to being Storm. Just can't do much else.

Rush Hour 3...hmmm....
Bourne Ultimatum....yes....

:o)

Whole day! :o)

Flash Point

Flash Point is quite a typical Donnie Yen movie. Seems back to basics though. Kind of following his older films, which is a little strange. Considering that he has considerable success with later movies. Nonetheless, his hip hop fighting is still a fresh difference from the dead pan fighting of Jet Li.

Some parts of the show were pretty disgusting though. The brutality of it. We both cringed at certain points. yucks.

Gotta go sleep and wake up in 2.5 hours for the wedding. I bet I will be more tired than the bridegroom as usual.

Gone Shopping

Just saw Gone Shopping with Tingie. I suspect that the show has way deeper meaning than it is meant to show. Not sure how others see it, but my mind seems to run on another parallel during the whole movie. I seem to know what is going to happen next in the scene before it happens.

Only one significant moment in the show that lingers in my mind. The giving by the head security to the girl. It was emo in that instant with a couple of thoughts flashing through my head simultaneously. A sort of identity in a different perspective.

Anyway, it was great company with Tingie as usual. Same habit of laughing her head off about everything. She must have a really strong neck to keep that head on. And to even suggest a buffet!!! She really is pretty confident of her savaging/whalloping/food-vacuuming skills ever since her stint in France. Looks like a "reservist" for her in France too somemore.

We exchanged some views about her issues. I felt like I was sitting there and listening to myself at the same time. Where do all these things that I say come from? Why do I feel like I am an audience to my own presentation there and then?

Hmmmm.........lost in road directions is understandable. She looked so lost in Mustafa too! Hahaha...

Daydreaming

Is life fair?

At certain points along life's journey, such a question will pop up in the thinking mind. That's when we remember all the bad stuff that happened and go OF COURSE NOT! If it is fair, why this and why that? Start getting frustrated and vivid memories of unfair personal situations creep in and start getting agitated. Why should I be the one to get all these or to go through all these?

Then there is the calm.

The better things come along into the head. It's not so bad. After all, there are quite a number of good things happening and generally there are quite a number of happy people around. Personal benefits and the little nice things that happened come back to mind. Awww....maybe it is not so bad huh? We just think too much about things and think too negatively.

Sometimes we use the bad stuff to remind us that not everything is rosy all the time and we have to be strong. And then we also try to use the good stuff to pacify ourselves that the world is not so bad. Contradicting whether we are trying to be put ourselves down for being too optimistic or trying to brighten up the thoughts before it gets too negative.

The thinking goes round and round and we never get any much further than where we started thinking. But time has passed and we just idled away. Hehehe.........it just happens.

Some people call it daydreaming.

Finding The Missing Understanding

We should have talked about it earlier. Crap. Spoilt our entire day! Hahaha...

But glad we are now.

This better not repeat again!!! Not worth spoiling our days for........

愛很簡單

Sincerity In Simplicity.

i love you
无法不爱着你
说你也爱我
i love you
永远不愿意
baby

i love you
我一直在这里
一直在爱你
i love you
永远都不放弃
这爱你的权利

如果你还有一些困惑
请贴着我的心倾听
听我说着爱你
yes i do
i love you

Friend

Final thought. I dedicate this to all that I consider my friends.

"Your friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you."
-- Elbert Hubbard

What Really Matters

"What we really are matters more than what other people think of us."
-- Jawaharlal Nehru

Happiness

"Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of travelling."
-- Margaret Lee Runbeck

Misunderstood

Felt misunderstood because words can sometimes fail in expression. Feel lousy.

Do people really believe you when they say they do? How do you tell? Maybe there is a way. Maybe there is not. It does not really matter. I rather believe they do. Because sometimes life was never meant to be so complicated. It became so when we added the "ingredients".

Thought pattern has significantly changed since the knowledge. Different perception. Progression? Maturing? Changed?

Thinking night. To the beach?
How I wish it came earlier.

Where are you when I needed you?
It's never going to be the same like before.

How many and who in the end?

Confirmed Status

Got the letter to confirm my PES E1L9 effective from 11 July 2007.

Wonder how that will change my recall status. I've been with the guys for so long. I hope I won't be posted somewhere else.

Knocked Up

Saw Knocked Up with Debbie. Hilarious movie. I was laughing my head off literally at some of the segments.

"Debbie is a freak of nature!" *turns and look at Debbie*
Just too bad that someone in the movie shares the same name sometimes :op

I kind of liked the underlying message in the movie. Well, the underlying message might be different for different people. Despite how people may seem to be, change is not impossible. It's a choice that an individual has to make. Not knowing what to do does not mean the end of the world. With determination and patience, impossible may turn to possible.

Some people just need certain events in their lives before they "wake up". What matters is how you move ahead.

Real Epidemic?

So that's the reason for the "epidemic" at the training centre. It was just a reason as I guessed.

I will stand up and be counted. I'm don't think I was ever called to live in the shadows.

He knows what the future holds.

Epidemic?

Thought it was one combined paper, but was given two separate exams instead. Anyway, aced both papers. Seems that it helped when I fell asleep through revision and my head was resting directly on my notes. Wahahahaha... Need to revise the rest of the information to prepare for next lesson. This course really works us hard if we really want to learn maximum from it.

Some supposed epidemic in the training centre and we were told to clear out after lunch. So I get the afternoon off! Good weather to sleep. Gotta do some revision later in the night. But maybe give in to An Qi's jio-ing tonight first. That queen..........

If I get another SMS from the instructor later, it means super long weekend! Hope the phone beeps soon :op

The New Driver!

Congratulations Mr Connel Loh :o)

I'm proud of you!

At least you did not have to use the trick I taught you about bringing Josiah along for the test.

Wahahahaha....

Yes Heng Kah, please go to Hong Kong for a short trip. At least I can claim credit for helping your wife persuade you :o) I did not go because I don't wanna miss your wedding! So now you should go on my behalf!

Found The Redbean!

Found the Redbean! Have not seen her for a while now. Had a good time catching up though she was trying hard to confuse me with the complicated tree of how all the people she knew were connected.

Went shopping for a dress (or two) for her to be bridesmaid. Amazing that we could not find anything in Plaza Singapura or Vivo City! All the more surprising in her case because she was one of the fastest shopper that I ever knew.

Think I am getting more used to ladies' brands than males!!! Hmmm.....

What Guys/Girls Notice

Attended the wedding of Tiang Ping and Hwee Koon. Heh. Still have not gotten the wedding invitation card proper because we never got to meet. My fault actually, but I appeared anyway.

The couple gave a speech during the church wedding to thank their parents. Touching moments.

Tiang Ping thanked her parents for raising her up so beautifully. Hwee Koon thanked his parents for raising him up a fine man. Martin and me agreed that was a perfect example that girls look at character while guys look at looks. Hahaha...not everyone is like that though, just so happen that the scenario "seemed" so :op

Met Amelda after quite some time. We've both been disappearing. Have to arrange the chicken rice feast someday. Matthew gave us a treat for no reason! :o)

Harry Potter

Saw Harry Potter with Debbie. Normally I try to catch all previous episodes before watching a sequel. Strangely I did not do it for Harry Potter. Though I think I did catch the previous ones on the plane.

But anyhow, the movie does follow the book quite a bit. So if I did not read the book, I might not know what is happening at various points. A little disappointed by the movie adaptation. Think the storybook is better.

We seem to be the only ones laughing at some points of the movie too. Everyone else did not share the same kind of humour I suppose.

Hmmm, think I will go get the final book and read it for completeness.

Debbie reminded that we are going out on 20/07/2007. Nice numbers...

Trust = The Colour Of Love?

信任 = 爱情的颜色?

I learnt this song quite some time back. Some probably heard me in KTV. I like it because it is meaningful. Communication is essential between two partners.
