Balancing On Wheels

I finally tried blading "properly" for the first time yesterday. Had to rent blades from the East Coast shop and it's HERE WE GO! The blades that I got was not so good. A bit loose interior due to the millions who have rented it before me. Basically, the cushion for the right one kept moving down and the plastic exterior was rubbing directly on my leg. Now there is an abrasion there.

Heng Kah & Joanne came with me, with the former as the coach. With his guidance, I could balance, move a bit and know the concept of braking (falling is DEFINITELY the fastest way). Joanne had a distinct advantage over me for learning. Basically she had tried rollerskate, iceskate, and now rollerblading. There I was trying to move and there she was trying to zoom about.

At one point, there was the thought of "I'm too old for this shit!"......THEN one auntie had to zoom round and round the beginners rink. I GET THE POINT! I am not too old, probably too dumb! Argh.........

It is going to take me some time just to move properly I think. Hopefully next Saturday will be a better experience. And also hope those good ones can piss off from the beginners rink. They were not even there to teach people, just showing off............mabbe it is not too difficult to crash into them "accidentally" hiak hiak hiak hiak *evil grin*

Lea promised to teach me the next time. Supposedly has a track record of definitely can blade within the same day. Maybe she will whip if I dun put in effort. Better reconsider calling her.

Oh yeah, considering the number of times I fall on my backside than the kneeguards, I think I better make a trip to WWE and buy one of those padded clothing from Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
