Moving On Wheels

Went blading again this morning. So far so good, two weeks in a row leow. Mabbe Connel and Ah Lau might join in two weeks from now. If I dun receive any aeroplanes lah. Hahaha. Mabbe can psycho to take out her blades and try again. Sometimes I think blading for people at my age is more of getting over a mental block first.

But I definitely rented a better pair of blades today! Compared to last week, this is SO SO much more comfortable. Can balance better lor. Started at the beginner's rink for about 40 minutes, then the crowd started pouring in. Decided that will just proceed to the road. Wonder what made me decide that. Super scary lor.

I think I went off for at least one kilometre and then back. So that's two! Already think it is an achievement lor. Learnt two ways of falling:

1) Rolling Gravity Stop
Basically let your weight and gravity lose your momentum until you roll to a stop. Simple, just keep your balance, and make sure there is a runway to let you roll to the end.

2) Goal Celebration Stop
Even simpler. Just lose your balance, stumble forward, go on your knees, palms will naturally come out and support the fall (with wrist guards), body lunge forward, kiss the floor (optional) and there! Stop leow. (What did you think Thierry Henry was doing at the last game in Highbury. He fall down then pretend celebrate goal lah...)

I did not get hurt this time. Yeah! Joanne fell hard! Very hard! I could hear the thump! And she is not big size lor. Looking from behind and hearing the fall, the only reaction I could muster was clenching my teeth and a quick breath in through the teeth.... ssssiiiiii....... then cringe a little like as though I felt the pain......

Soon.....I will get my blades.....
(My mum suggested that now I can blade to Serangoon Central and buy food or groceries leow. NTUC got blade-thru lane meh?!)

I bet you KISSED the floor right?! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Your mouth must've been wide open when you kissed the floor cos you must've been screaming while you were falling to the floor and you didn't have enough reaction time to close it when your mouth came into contact with the floor from the fact that your poor arms did not have enough strength capacity to support your full body weight, not to forget the intertia of your full body mass falling to the ground.
